Ross Devlin
is a storyteller and creative producer based in New York.
History
(1994) I was born in Glens Falls, NY.
(2016) With Cai John and Paola Tenconi, I received the Innovative Initiative Grant, to research and publish a book on the localized impact of the 2016 Rio Olympics, Morro Asfalto Mar.
(2019) I started working with Memphis rapper Lukah, initially writing his press releases, and then growing into the role of manager. Lukah has collaborated with award winning artists Killer Mike, Statik Selektah, 8 Ball, Shabaka Hutchings, and has been featured in the New York Times, NPR, and Spin Magzine.
(2020) I hosted THRUST on 91.7FM WYXR, a weekly radio hour that highlighted music from around the world, with interview guests including Julien Baker, Nilifur Yanya, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Photay, and more. Thrust ran until 2025, producing over 200 episodes.
(2022) I created the site Corpus Collosseus to archive a series of original radio plays, which I scripted, scored, and produced to air WYXR.
(2024) I published Bad Advice for Travelers, a collection of writing in collaboration with the visual artist Kaleob Edward Elkin.
